SAN IGNACIO


This small village has craft workshops where wood works mainly. San Ignacio has a wide range of places that offer typical food.

San Ignacio is a town of El Salvador. It is located in the department of Chalatenango, at a distance of 88 kilometers from San Salvador, taking the Troncal del Norte, and 8 kilometers from the border with Honduras, known as "El Poy". Limited to the north-west and south-Citalá west on La Palma.
San Ignacio represents one of the main tourist attraction in El Salvador for its pleasant climate and surrounding mountains; main tourist riches are: The Rock of Cayaguanca, Cerro El Pital located 2730m above sea level which defines it as the highest point in El Salvador and Canton Las Pilas where crops a variety of fruits and vegetables are not seen elsewhere in the country because the local climate is excellent and suitable for cultivation.
